VIDEO: Investigation into Matt Bendik's death
The 31 year old man was found yesterday in a Philadelphia hotel.

PHILADELPHIA -- A man was found dead in a Philadelphia hotel on Thursday afternoon, and he is reportedly the boyfriend of 'Glee' star Becca Tobin.

The body of Matt Bendik was found by a housekeeper inside a room at the Hotel Monaco, in the 400 block of Chestnut Street, around 1 p.m. Thursday, Philadelphia Police told Action News.

He was wearing a t-shirt and shorts.

A medical examiner on Friday afternoon said an initial autopsy didn't reveal the cause of death and more tests are needed.

Police said there were no signs of foul play and no evidence of drugs or drug paraphernalia in the room. Authorities say suicide doesn't appear to be the cause.

Detectives are working to retrace his steps and learn more about what may have caused his death.

Police say Bendik was here on business. He reportedly owns and operates nightclubs around the country.

Officers are also obtaining surveillance video to assist in the investigation.

"They are going to conduct interviews with witnesses, anybody who may have been with him. They are going to do that background investigation," said Lt. John Walker of the Philadlephia Police.

Entertainment news site TMZ reports Bendik is the boyfriend of 'Glee' star Becca Tobin.

Police say she was not in town and her manager tells Action News the actress has no comment at this time.

Almost a year ago, "Glee" star Cory Monteith died of an accidental alcohol and drug overdose in a Canadian hotel. Tobin joined the show's cast in 2012.
