The Carolina Ballet will perform Macbeth

The Carolina Ballet has unveiled a world premiere of William Shakespeares "Macbeth" as part of the Spring Shakespeare Festival and the 2015-2016 "Season of Drama."

Macbeth is taking center stage at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium April 14-17 and the DPAC from April 30-May 1.

"400 years ago, this was Game Of Thrones," said Carolina Ballet Executive Director, Nate McGaha. "This was high drama and the themes and story line of betrayal and love are still there today. And being able to boil that great language of Shakespeare down to raw emotion and to be able to express that in music and dance is really something special to behold."

The Carolina Ballet is setting aside many tickets for high school students to attend a performance of Macbeth. You can call the box office and the tickets can be picked up at will call with a valid student ID. This offer is valid for any high school student in any county.
