Munch madness: Vote for the best BBQ in the country

It's March Madness time, and this bracket is a little closer to our hearts - and our stomachs.

The website "Thrillist" is trying to determine the best barbecue spot in the United States.

In the spirit of the season, the website put 32 restaurants on a college-basketball style bracket, and your votes will help the "teams" advance.

Several North Carolina restaurants are in contention.

Representing the Tar Heel State are Allen & Son Bar-B-Que in Chapel Hill, Lexington Barbecue in Lexington, Red Bridges Barbecue Lodge in Shelby and Skylight Inn BBQ in Ayden.

Skylight Inn is a top seed, while Allen & Son got a six seed.
