RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Talk about some creepy crawly cuisine! Bugs are on the menu in downtown Raleigh this weekend at Bugfest.

The 20th anniversary of Bugfest kicked off at lunch Friday with the Critter Cook-Off. It was an Iron Chef style competition with crickets, worms, and ants as the main ingredients.

Chefs from The Big Easy and Bolt Bistro in downtown Raleigh competed head-to-head.

On the menu was Crispy Cricket Ceviche, Critter Cakes with three kinds of worms, Grubs & Grits, and Ant-oufee. For dessert, chefs served Beig-Ants and Ants on a Log.

Steve Daniels was a judge this year, and he ate it all.

The Critter Cook-Off champions are the mother-daughter team of Kelly Lowery and Breanna Berrye from The Big Easy in Raleigh.

If you want to indulge in some buggy snacks, you can too! Bugfest runs all day Saturday at the Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh.
