HOLLY SPRINGS, NC (WTVD) -- One in every 691 babies in the United States is born with Down Syndrome, making it the most common genetic condition. Approximately 400,000 Americans have Down Syndrome.

On Sunday, October 9th, the Triangle Down Syndrome Network will hold its annual Buddy Walk in Holly Springs. It's an event designed to show people living with Down Syndrome they are not alone and there are plenty of people willing to walk beside them.

The Triangle Down Syndrome Network (TDSN) is a nonprofit support, resource, and advocacy organization for individuals, families, and professionals.

The Buddy Walk takes place Sugg Farm Park from noon to 4pm.
