Raleigh rental prices could drive some away from downtown

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Rent prices in downtown Raleigh are higher than most places around the Triangle.

However, by Monday, hundreds of new rental units will be available in the Raleigh Housing Authority's newest neighborhood.

The homes are a mix of low income and fair market value housing, but critics say they are pricing poor people out of town.
