1 killed in Johnston County car crash

SELMA, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person is dead after a car accident Saturday afternoon in Johnston County.

Police said 46-year-old Dana Dale, of Princeton, was turning into a restaurant on U.S. Highway 70 around 2 p.m. when her vehicle was struck by another car driven by 22-year-old Emarion Jevante Dixon, of Selma.

Dale was killed. Dixon was taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital with injuries that were not-life threatening.

The accident remains under investigation.

No charges have been filed yet.
