Durham police investigate 2 shootings

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating two unrelated shootings Wednesday night.

The first one took place on a basketball court on South Hoover Road, which is off Miami Boulevard.

Police say a man was shot in the leg.

Paramedics arrives and took him to a hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.

Police do not have a suspect in the case.

The later shooting happened on Laymans Chapel Road off on Monk Road, in what was described as a home invasion.

Three suspects were involved, and the victim was shot in the back.

He appeared to be alert and was taken to the hospital. An update on his condition is not available.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
