APPARENT TORNADO FLATTENS HOMES IN MISSISSIPPI

Homes in Mississippi were flattened Monday by an apparent tornado.

Houses were reduced to piles of debris near the Florida/Alabama line where a cell phone caught incredible video of a tornado.

Branches were thrown on top of cars and the walls were ripped off of homes.

In Louisiana a twister ripped the roof off a car wash, throwing it onto a nearby Pizza Hut. Cellphone video shows panic and injuries moments after.

SLICK ROADS PARTIALLY TO BLAME FOR AN 11-CAR CRASH IN PENNSYLVANIA

In Pennsylvania, cars were smashed to pieces early Tuesday morning on Interstate 81.

A tractor trailer jack-knifed and moments later it was chaos.

As many as eight tractor trailers and three cars were involved in the pileup.

Miraculously nobody was killed, but as many as 16 people were taken to the hospital to be checked out. Slick and icy roads were partially to blame.

In California, sunbathing and surfing are popular pastimes.

Temperatures soared to the 80s Monday near San Diego breaking records. The summer like temperatures are expected to continue all week.
