Man nearly hit by train crossing tracks in Australia

MELBOURNE, Australia (WTVD) -- Stunning surveillance video from Australia shows a man coming just feet from being hit by a train in Melbourne.

Officials released the images to try and stop the problem of people illegally crossing tracks at train stations.

The man jumps from a platform down onto the tracks to cross to the other side, but then a train comes barreling down and he quickly has to change directions and run out of the way.

Officials say they've recorded about 140 similar close calls.
