APEX, NC (WTVD) -- The Apex police department has arrested a husband and wife after a bank robbery Wednesday during the height of the severe storms that rolled through the Triangle.

Police said 36-year-old Aaron Russell Wagoner got $2,500 but was arrested before he could leave the bank. There were no weapons involved in the holdup and no one was hurt.

Authorities said Hannah Wagoner, 22, was waiting in a car but apparently drove away when she saw police.

She was later arrested.

On Thursday, Aaron Wagoner made a court appearance. He is facing a maximum sentence of nearly four years.

The couple appears to live at the Brook-Arbor Apartments in Cary, about four miles from the bank.

Aaron Wagoner is being held on $75,000 bond. His wife's bond is set for $30,000.

The next court date for the Wagoners is March 17.
