FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police set up a DWI checkpoint on Friday night to crack down on drunk drivers.
The checkpoint was set up along Cliffdale Road overnight. Police say the goal is to educate people on the dangers of drunk driving.
Police are also trying to reduce the number of impaired drivers on the road.
K9 units were also out to help with drug searches.
Fayetteville police have not said how many drivers were cited during Friday's checkpoint.
