Power outage due to Raleigh crash
1,800 customers were without power due to a crash on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- About 1,800 customers were without power in Raleigh after a crash on New Bern Avenue at Clarendon Crescent.

A car went off the road Thursday afternoon and hit a power pole. Traffic lights were out at all the way to Raleigh Boulevard.

As of 6 p.m., only about 200 customers were still without power.

Officials said power is expected to be restored around 8 p.m.
