Parents wait outside overnight for kids' activity signups

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Dozens of Wake County parents are taking one for the team.

They started lining up around midnight outside the Lake Lynn Community Center in Raleigh to be the first ones to sign up their kids for before and after school programs.

The site at Lake Lynn is one of a few locations where parents can sign up on a first come first serve basis.

Spots typically fill up in the first few hours.
