Spring Lake's POW-MIA chair honors 'ultimate sacrifice'

SPRING LAKE (WTVD) -- A constant reminder of service members who never came home is now a permanent part of Spring Lake Town Hall.

The local Rolling Thunder chapter unveiled this POW-MIA Chair of Honor on Monday.

"As long as we as a community remember those that have come before us," said Spring Lake mayor Chris Rey, "who have given the ultimate sacrifice, we will always continue to be better for who we are."

Spring Lake's chair of honor is the fifth of its kind in Cumberland County but the first to have a permanent home in a city government building.
