North Carolina has 2 of East Coast's best beaches

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- No matter which North Carolina beach you choose they're all great. But now two of them are on a national list of the 10-best beaches on the East Coast.

The ranking, decided by USA Today readers put Cape Hatteras in sixth place. The paper mentioned attractions such as the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, kiteboarding, and bonfires on the sand.

Higher on the list was Ocracoke Island beach at number three. It received high marks for its natural beauty.

The top spot went to Gulf Islands National Seashore in Pensacola, Florida.
