3 men were arrested after a chase in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Deputies from the Durham County Sheriff's office arrested three men after a chase that started at Hardscrabble Drive and ended off I-85 at Guess Road.

Officials say around 9 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a call of a suspicious person and vehicle in the Hardscrabble neighborhood. After checking the license plate, the deputies confirmed that the car was stolen.

The suspects drove off when a deputy got out of their squad car. Authorities chased the car and eventually took the men into custody.

The suspects were identified as 22-year-old Malcolm Lee Davis, 21-year-old Tori Demarco Bumpers, and 20-year-old Anthony Joseph Brown-Cameron.

Officials say the stolen vehicle was linked to a carjacking case from Friday night being investigated by Durham Police.

Three handguns and several other stolen items were taken from the car by authorities.

The three men are facing a variety of theft and possession charges.
