FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are investigating a shooting after a victim showed up at the local hospital with gunshot wounds overnight.

It happened just before midnight on Southwood and Starbrook drives, just off Raeford Road - west of Skibo Road.

Police were tipped off to the shooting after the victim arrived at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Authorities are investigating the incident, which appeared to have taken place in an apartment complex parking lot.

Eyewitnesses said at least 10 shots were fired.

Further details have not been released at this time. It is unclear if anyone has been arrested.
