Police: Shots fired at NYPD officers
Tuesday night in Brooklyn

FLATBUSH, Brooklyn -- Police say shots have been fired at two New York Police Department officers, narrowly missing them.

It happened late Tuesday night in Brooklyn. The officers were not hit.

The Sergeants Benevolent Association says four males drove past the officers in a car and shot at them as they were walking. Union officials say the suspects then fled the scene and dumped the car.

The union posted an alert to other officers following this incident:

They are urging other officers to remain alert at all times.

No arrests have been made.

It's unclear if the officers returned fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
