A clerk was shot in leg during an armed robbery in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Police said two men robbed a Sunoco gas station in Fayetteville late Friday night.

It happened in the 4500 block of Raeford Road around 11:30 p.m.

Police released raw video of a robbery at a Sunoco station

Police said two men went into the gas station with guns and pointed them at the store clerk, demanding the clerk open the cash register.

One of the suspects then went behind the counter and took the money as well as a sword that was lying beside the counter.

As the suspects were leaving, one of them fired a gunshot that grazed the leg of the clerk, according to police. The clerk was not seriously injured.

The suspects were described as black men, one of them with a large build and a full beard. The other was described as having a lighter skin complexion.
