FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville Police were involved in a chase early Monday evening that resulted in a two-vehicle crash.

Officers observed a blue sedan and a silver Nissan Versa driving erratically near Johnson Street and Helen Street, but before they could take any action, gunfire erupted from the open window of the Nissan.

The driver of the Nissan refused to stop for officers and a chase ensued down Helen Street to Pamalee Drive and onto Country Club Drive before continuing on Rosehill Road. The Nissan's driver lost control turning right onto Rosehill Road from Country Club Drive and struck a 2006 Jeep Commander.

Officers quickly took the Nissan's driver and passenger into custody. The driver of the Jeep suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The men in the Nissan have been identified as 30-year-old Glenn Warren of Fayetteville and 18-year-old Michael Blunt of Dillon, SC. Warren was charged with felonious fleeing to elude a police officer and Blunt was charged with discharging a weapon within the city limits.
