FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A popular Fayetteville restaurant is cleaning up after a truck smashed into the eatery as diners were enjoying breakfast Friday morning.
It happened just after 9 a.m. at Zorba's restaurant on Raeford Road.
Officials tell ABC11 that the driver of a Ford F-250 was making a left turn into the restaurant's parking lot, and accidentally crashed through barrier poles in front of the building and through a large front window.
No one was seriously injured, but one person sitting near the window was taken to the hospital after suffering some bruising.
The owner, Tommy Frangakis, said he was thankful no one was seriously hurt. He said he hopes to reopen by Friday evening or Saturday morning.
The health department is expected to come out and inspect the restaurant before it reopens.
