Couple injured in Durham when car hit by gunfire

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Gunfire in Durham hit a car and left a couple injured Tuesday.

It happened in McDougald Terrace but the man and woman drove to Bacon Street where they called 911.

Durham Police said someone shot at the victims' car.

The couple was hit by broken glass and suffered minor injuries.

An ABC11 crew at the scene said there was a bullet hole in the gas tank and fuel was leaking from the car when officers arrived.

The shooting remains under investigation.
