North Carolina faces more backlash over House Bill 2.

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill banning government workers from traveling to states with laws that limit access of basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The new law applies to the University of California and California State University System, which may lead to restrictions on travel for college sports teams.

Five other states have taken a similar step, banning public employees from traveling to North Carolina since Gov. Pat McCrory signed HB2 into law back in March.

The California bill is AB-1887. Read the bill here.
