Raleigh starts new year with shooting on Capital Boulevard

Police said one person was taken to the hospital after the shooting in Raleigh (WTVD)

Raleigh police are ringing in the new year with a shooting investigation on Capital Boulevard.

Police responded to the 3300 block of Capital Blvd. just before 3 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities said people in two separate cars got into an argument and started shooting at a red light.

Police said the victim pulled into Adventure Landing's nearby parking lot before he was taken to WakeMed with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers did not say if there had been any arrests.
