SMITHFIELD, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Johnston County Sheriff's Office has arrested 19-year-old Arquile Raeqwon Wilder in the death of a man found dumped on the side of the road.

Wilder is charged with first-degree murder.

Authorities said 25-year-old Dorian Teachy, of Dudley, was found beside the road March 27 in the 1400 block of Yelverton Grove Road near Smithfield, which is about a mile east of Interstate 95.

A driver who spotted Teachy and called 911 thought someone had been hit by a car. However, investigators said Teachy had been shot.

Teachy was taken to WakeMed where he later died.
