19-year-old shot to death in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Police say a 19-year-old was shot to death in Durham early Saturday.

It happened in the yard of a home in the 3,000-block of East Weaver Street around 1:40 a.m.

Police officers found Derek Huggins Jr. shot multiple times when they arrived. He was declared dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made and detectives are working to learn more about what happened.
