19,000 chickens die in Harnett County chicken farm fire

CAMERON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Fire ripped through a Harnett County chicken farm Thursday afternoon.

It happened in the town of Cameron in the 2900 block of Marks Road.

Video from Chopper 11HD showed one of four chicken houses heavily damaged by a fire. Most of the building had collapsed.

Fire officials said about 19,000 chickens died in the blaze.

No one was injured.

There's no word yet on what sparked the fire.
