Mother, 3 children injured when fire truck, car collide
The fire truck was responding to a call when the truck and a Mazda sedan collided in the intersection just after 7 p.m.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A Raleigh Fire Department ladder truck was involved in a crash on Glenwood Avenue and Pleasant Valley Road early Tuesday evening.

The fire truck was responding to a call when the truck and a Mazda sedan collided in the intersection just after 7 p.m.

Police say four people were taken to the hospital: a 30-year-old mother and her three children -- ages 5, 3, and 1.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

No fire department personnel were injured in the crash.
