5 charged after suspected meth lab bust in Chatham County

GULF, N.C. (WTVD) -- Five people are under arrest after a suspected meth lab bust in Chatham County.

Deputies arrested Jordan Newell, Ronald Kimrey, Jason Sloan, Jody Sloan, and Marian Sloan on Saturday.

The group faces a total of 30 felony charges.

Investigators said they uncovered one of the labs in a shed behind a house on Alton King Road in Gulf. Another meth lab was found inside the trunk of a car.

All five suspects will appear in court June 8.
