Car hits school bus in Sanford

SANFORD, N.C. (WTVD) -- Sanford Police are investigating a crash involving a school bus on Cool Springs at Wintergreen Road around 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say a passenger in a car that rammed the bus was flown to UNC Hospitals for treatment.

Bus 160 was headed to Tramway Elementary School. The 10 students on board and the bus driver were not hurt.

Students were picked up by an alternate bus and taken to school. Parents were also alerted.
