The Mudcats are still recuperating from Tuesday's bus accident in Columbus County. After a few days of rest, the team faces Myrtle Beach Pelicans in a three-game weekend series that was already on the schedule as planned and not affected at all by this week's events.

In terms of players affected by Tuesday's accident though, the Atlanta Braves organization which handles the Mudcats' roster moves and injury-related information announced Thursday that three players were placed on the disabled list for Friday night's game. That upped the total to five inactives for the Mudcats.

Carolina League President John Hopkins released a statement Wednesday about the two team's canceled series from earlier in the week, saying that it has not been rescheduled yet.
