CVS employee shot in robbery attempt
Police are searching for this man.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are searching for a man wanted in an attempted robbery that left a CVS worker shot late Tuesday.

It happened just after 11 p.m. at the pharmacy in the 3900 block of Capital Boulevard.

Detectives said a man in his late 20s, and just over six feet tall, came in and tried to hold up the business. Store employees struggled with the man and the robber's gun fired twice.

One of the bullets hit a worker in the leg.

The robber then fled on foot. He did not get anything from the store.

The wounded store worker was taken to WakeMed.

Police released two surveillance photos of the suspect.
