DOT worker remembered in Kenly
Friends and family gathered on Saturday to remember the life of a DOT worker who ws killed on the job

KENLY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Family and friends remembered a DOT worker killed while on the job in Wayne County.

William Bailey was laid to rest in Kenly on Saturday.

The man who loved God, his family, and his community died Monday after an alleged impaired driver ran off Highway 70 and hit him.

Bailey was a volunteer firefighter with the Bethany Fire Department for 14 years. He was buried with full firefighter honors.

Bailey leaves behind a wife and 18-month-old twin daughters.
