Driver facing DWI charges after hitting Raleigh home early Thursday morning

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A driver is facing charges after hitting a Raleigh home early Thursday morning.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. near Glenwood Avenue at White Oak Road in the Five Points area.

The driver took out a power pole before crashing through a fence and striking the house.

Part of the roadway was shut down for a couple hours as authorities cleared the scene.

The unidentified driver is facing DWI charges.
