Driver in Knightdale swerves to miss deer, hits tree

KNIGHTDALE, NC (WTVD) -- Three people were hurt early Friday when investigators say a driver swerved to miss a deer, lost control, and hit a tree.

It happened along Knightdale Eagle Rock Road near Highway 64/264 just after 1 a.m.

The driver and passengers were cut out of the vehicle by firefighters and taken to WakeMed.

None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
