Elderly woman killed in Orange County crash

ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- An 86-year-old woman was killed in an accident in Orange County over the weekend.

It happened around 9:15 a.m. Sunday on Highway 54 west near White Cross Road.

Authorities said the accident happened when an unidentified driver from Greensboro hit the woman's driver side door. The woman's name has not been released.

There is no word yet on any charges or what caused the accident.
