Fans Gather for World Cup Watch Party in Downtown Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A lot of tense moments for fans as much of this final World Cup match stayed tied zero - zero.

This huge crowd, and the heat inside this bar, not keeping fans like Randy and Georgia Worzella away from this favorite spot to watch the games and root for their team.

"I have a lot of German people I work with so rooting for Germany," said Randy Worzella.

"Little nervous, it's time for them to score," said Georgia Worzella.

Watch parties like these played on all over. Spirited fans watched the game inside the Oxford just a few blocks away.

Now that the games are over this fever will die down and fans will have to wait another four years for this worldwide competition to do it all over again.
