Fayetteville Police need help to ID female pedestrian struck, killed

Fayetteville police have not been able to identify the victim.

A woman who was struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon along Morganton Road near the Murray Fork Drive intersection has died as a result of her injuries, Fayetteville Police said Thursday evening.

Officers have not been able to identify the woman and are seeking the public's assistance.

The pedestrian, who was attempting to cross Morganton Road, is described as an Asian woman, approximately 4'8" in height. She was wearing blue jeans and blue and white shoes.

The woman was rushed to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she later died.

The driver of the involved vehicle was not injured during the crash.
