WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WTVD) -- A fire destroyed a historic home in Wake Forest late Wednesday night.

An eyewitness sent ABC11 video of the more than 100-year-old home burning to the ground.

Firefighters said the home didn't last more than 10-to-15 minutes after going up in flames just after 11 p.m.

The house, which was at the corner of Main Street and Juniper Avenue, was being remodeled. Only the brick chimney was left standing.

No one was hurt, but some nearby houses were damaged by the flames.

Investigators are working to figure out the cause of the blaze.
