Fire destroys Vance County church

HENDERSON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Fire crews responded to a fire at a church in northern Vance County late Tuesday afternoon.

The fire started just after 5 p.m. at the Woods Worth Baptist Church, which is located in the 400 block of Woodsworth Road near the North Carolina/Virginia border.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what started the fire.
