Senator Kay Hagan recovering from emergency eye surgery

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- Senator Kay Hagan is recovering from emergency eye surgery.

Sources say she's resting at home in Greensboro.

The senator's office told ABC11 Hagan had the procedure Friday after learning about the eye problem last week.

Her office says she was trying to put it off as long as possible to be on Capitol Hill for some votes before lawmakers adjourn.
