Man injured in Durham shooting
Durham police says an unidentified man was shot in the stomach and taken by EMS to the hospital early Tuesday morning.

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating an early Tuesday morning shooting that injured a Taxi driver.

It happened just after 1 a.m. at an apartment building in the 500 block of Hardee Street, off Holloway Street.

Authorities said two men told the driver they wanted a ride, but then demanded money. When the driver said he didn't have any, they shot him in the stomach.

The driver is being treated for serious injuries.

The robbers fled the area and have not been found.
