Man shoots, kills customer at Robeson County convenience store

RED SPRINGS, N.C. (WTVD) -- The search for a killer is on in Robeson County.

A robber shot a customer and the owner at Roscoe's convenience store in Red Springs Thursday night.

Police said the man walked in, demanded money, and immediately started shooting.

James Johnson, 72, was shot in the face and died.

The store's owner was shot in the shoulder.

Police have not released a description of the suspect.
