Man taken to hospital after shooting in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are investigating a shooting after a man was injured Sunday evening.

It happened just before 7 p.m. at Hull's Landing, which describes itself as a community for veterans, in the 300 block of Sunnybrook Road.

Authorities said 26-year-old Demetrius Roshawn Hinton was taken to hospital after he suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and a grazing gunshot wound to his head.

The incident is not believed to have been a random act, according to police.

No arrests have been made at this time.
