Memorial grows for Fayetteville business owner fatally beaten at bar
FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- Community members gathered outside First Place Auto Wash on Eastern Boulevard Monday to honor the business' owner Michael Mansfield.
According to Fayetteville police, Mansfield was beaten to death just down the street from his business while at "301 Wingz" early Sunday morning.
Authorities arrested 37-year-old Hubert Underwood and 26-year-old Steven Rosser and charged them with first-degree murder in connection with the 52-year-old's death.

According to a detective, Underwood worked at 301 Wingz. He was off-duty when he and Mansfield got in a verbal altercation inside. Then in the parking lot outside, the detective said, Rosser got involved.
The assault was captured on surveillance video. The detective said both suspects brutally beat Mansfield, punching him in the head around a dozen times.
It is unclear what the fight was about, but police say Mansfield was left unconscious and later died at the hospital.
Friends are mourning his death - remembering him as a recovered addict who turned to Jesus and helped other recovered addicts by offering them jobs.
They said he created a ministry at his car wash - known to many as "Love Like Jesus," and fed the homeless.
"Everyone's hurt ... it hurts," First Place Auto Wash General Manager Nelson Mountjoy said. "We've lost a big asset."
A vigil was held Monday for Mansfield. A prayer service is also planned.
