DURHAM (WTVD) -- Millennium Hotel in Durham was evacuated Wednesday morning after a reported bomb threat.

Authorities evacuated the hotel on Campus Walk Drive near Morreene Road around 11 a.m. after the hotel received a call that there was a bomb inside. Hotel staff then called 911.

"Don't know what to expect, it's kind of scary," guest Terry Adams said. "Here we are away from home and don't know which way to go. It is scary."

Durham police called in a bomb dog, a biological chemical emergency response team and EMS to the scene to investigate.

Around 1 p.m., authorities called off the investigation after no threat was found.

Residents at a nearby apartment complex were not evacuated, but were impacted due to the closure of Campus Walk Drive during the investigation.
