A motorcyclist was killed in a serious collision in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A motorcycle driver was killed after colliding with a car in Fayetteville on Saturday.

Police said it happened around 12:15 p.m. in the 1900 block of Pamalee Drive.

After the collision the motorcycle driver was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he died.

Authorities identified the victim as 46-year-old Robert Gene Lacey.

The driver of the second vehicle was identified as 25-year-old Nicholas Shane Martin. He was not injured.

Officials are investigating. No charges have been filed.
