One dead in shooting at Durham apartment complex

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Police responded to a deadly shooting late Tuesday night in Durham.

It happened about 10:35 p.m. at an apartment complex on Century Oaks Drive off East Cornwallis Road.

Police said Reginald Carter, 35, was found outside and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the incident does not appear to be random.

No charges have been filed at this time. Durham police have not released suspect information.
