Person killed in moped accident south of Garner

GARNER, N.C. -- A person was killed Friday morning when a pickup truck ran into the back of a moped south of Garner.

It happened near the intersection of Old Stage Road and Eric Street around 5:30 a.m.

The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
